Art historian and curator. Graduated in Fine Arts Science from the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava and holds a bachelor's degree in Film Science from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Worked at the Institute of Art History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the Department of Art Sciences of the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, and the Institute of Art and Science of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Employed at the SNG, since 2008 curator of Other Media Collection, and from 2022 curator of Drawings Collection. Film historian at the Department of Science and Research of the Slovak Film Institute since 2020.
Focuses on theory of the museum, Slovak film and visual culture of the 20th and 21st centuries, and exhibition curation (e.g. 60/90, Slovak art for free, Nybüvitt, in collaboration with Alexandra Kusá; Lost time?, Július Koller: Science-Fiction Retrospective, in collaboration with Aurel Hrabušický; Nudes, in collaboration with Jana Juráňová, Jana Cviková, and Eva Filová; Delete. Art and Wiping Out; Liquid Muse. Alcohol and Visual Culture; Dream × Reality. Art and Propaganda 1939–1945, in collaboration with Katarína Bajcurová and Bohunka Koklesová). Co-authored a book profile on Pedro Almodóvar, a monograph Paľo Bielik and Slovak Film Culture (SFÚ, 2010), and a publication on the history of artistic operations in 1990s Women-Institutions? (VŠVU – Slovart, 2010). In 2024, published We Have Our Film! a comprehensive monograph on film culture and propaganda between 1939 and 1945. Publishes in the magazines Ars, Profil, Kinečko, Kino-ikon, Ročenka SNG, Magazín 365°, Filmsk.sk, and others.
