I Introductory provisions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter GTC) of the Slovak National Gallery apply to the sale and the procedure for selling tickets for exhibitions and programs of the Slovak National Gallery
II Tickets
1 Tickets for SNG performances are exempt from VAT pursuant to Section 34 of Act No 222/2004 Z z on Value Added Tax as amended Altering forging or copying tickets is in conflict with these GTC as well as with relevant legal regulations and may result in administrative or criminal consequences
2 A ticket without a control coupon or an otherwise intentionally or unintentionally damaged ticket is invalid and its holder will not be allowed entry to the gallery or to the relevant program to which the ticket relates upon presentation of such a ticket
3 By purchasing a ticket the customer and also the visitor if different from the customer acknowledges and accepts that
a entry to the gallery program after the start of the performance is prohibited for this reason it is recommended to arrive well in advance
b entry to the gallery is prohibited with backpacks umbrellas and with hand luggage except for smaller handbags (lockers are available for storage)
c the consumption of drinks and food is prohibited during the program and gallery visit
d it is prohibited to disrupt the program its course the artists during performance as well as to disrupt other visitors especially but not limited to loud disruption mobile phone ringing undignified and improper behavior or other disruptive actions by the customer or visitor
e entry to the program and to the gallery is prohibited to a customer or visitor in a state (especially but not limited to under the influence of addictive narcotic or psychotropic substances or in another inappropriate state) in which they will disturb other visitors or if there is a reasonable concern that they will disrupt the program its course or other customers to an unreasonable extent
f entry to the program and to the gallery is prohibited to a customer or visitor in the event that there is a reasonable concern that the performance or the presence of the customer or visitor may affect the health or life of the customer or other persons
g behavior of customers and visitors contrary to good morals and/or contrary to generally binding legal regulations is prohibited as well as behavior that interferes or there is a reasonable concern that it could interfere with the rights and legitimate interests as well as the honor and dignity of other customers or visitors SNG employees performing artists as well as other persons
h they are obliged to observe current hygienic and anti pandemic measures in connection with the COVID 19 disease during performances the wording of which is located on the website sng sk
4 In the event of non compliance violation or in the event of suspicion by an authorized employee or persons authorized by SNG of a violation of any of the conditions set by these GTC especially but not limited to under point 3 of this article of the GTC or in the event of disruption or suspicion of disruption of the course of the program or other visitors to the gallery as well as in the event of a reasonable concern of danger to the health or life of a person the customer or other persons as well as in the event of danger to SNG property or other persons the relevant SNG employee or person authorized by SNG is entitled to disallow or prevent access of the customer or visitor to the SNG building premises of the SNG building or to the program or to remove the customer/visitor of the gallery and/or from the building or premises of the SNG building namely before the gallery visit as well as during the course of the program An SNG employee or an authorized person on behalf of SNG is entitled to decide on the intensity of the violation of the conditions as well as on the method of resolving the violation of the conditions in accordance with generally binding legal regulations This is without prejudice to the claim for compensation for damage caused by the actions of the customer or visitor In the event that the customer or visitor is removed or denied access to the performance due to a violation of the GTC the customer has no right to a refund for the purchased ticket or to any other compensation except in the case where they credibly prove that the suspicion according to the first sentence was not justified
5 SNG reserves the right to use and manipulate the capacity of exhibition spaces for its needs as well as for needs of a commercial and other nature
III Purchase sale reservations of tickets
1 Tickets for SNG performances can be purchased in person at SNG ticket offices during opening hours or online through the web portal sng sk
2 Tickets purchased online can be presented in both printed and electronic form Each ticket purchased online is equipped with a unique QR code or barcode which will be scanned by a designated reader at the gallery ticket office
3 The customer is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data provided by the customer when purchasing tickets online SNG does not take into account complaints whose origin lies in the neglect of the customer responsibility according to the previous sentence
4 Tickets to SNG cannot be reserved unless otherwise provided in these GTC
5 Ticket reservation is possible only in the case of group orders according to Article IV and individual reservations for SNG purposes if SNG allows them for a specific purpose
6 Immediately after purchasing a ticket at SNG ticket offices the customer is obliged to check the accuracy of the data on the ticket and in the event of finding inaccuracies to complain about this fact immediately on the spot SNG does not take into account later complaints
7 Payment at the SNG ticket office is possible with these types of payment cards Maestro MasterCard Electronic VISA VISA Electron DC Payment by card must be reported in advance
8 Payment at the SNG ticket office is possible with valid cultural vouchers issued by the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic Customers have this option until 6 00 pm during the opening hours of the ticket office in the New Building of SNG
9 Children up to the age of 6 have free entry to the gallery accompanied by an adult with a purchased ticket
10 A ticket is a security until the moment of its validity (the given day) The validity of the ticket ends on the day for which it was purchased
11 Any altering or copying of tickets is in conflict with these GTC as well as with relevant legal regulations and may result in administrative or criminal consequences
IV Group orders invoicing
1 A demand for over 10 pieces of tickets for one performance is considered a group order For the purchase of 10 pieces and fewer tickets for one performance customers have the option to purchase at SNG ticket offices and on the web portal sng sk
2 All received group orders are binding
3 Payment of a group order must take place no later than the 14th day before the date of the performance In the event that payment is not made according to the first sentence of this point of the conditions SNG is entitled to cancel the order and allow the sale of tickets in the sales system for the public
4 After confirming a group order and issuing a payment document it is not possible to cancel this group order change the number and category of tickets or the date of the performance (except for cases mentioned in Article VI) A discount can be applied to a group order in the event of meeting the conditions according to SNG GTC
a Student (in the event that the order is placed by a school or school organization) it is necessary to send the order from the official school email with school details confirmed by stamp and signature
b Student (in the event that the order is placed by a natural person) state the number of students and a contact person
c Disabled person and retiree it is necessary to send the order of the organization association or application for the entire season These documents must contain the name and address (billing details) contact person signature and stamp of the organization or association
d Disabled person and retiree (in the event that the order is placed by a natural person) provide a list of names of visitors or copies of IDs that entitle to the provision of the discount and a contact person
e Group according to discounts approved for the given season
5 If no change or cancellation of the program occurs the payment document for SNG tickets issued on the basis of a binding group order cannot be canceled
6 For other conditions regarding group tickets which are not regulated in this article of the GTC the conditions for regular tickets apply appropriately unless this article of the GTC provides otherwise
V Ticket discounts
1 The customer has the option to apply a discount on ticket prices at SNG ticket offices as well as during online purchase if they meet the conditions for its provision
2 Before purchasing a discounted ticket at the ticket office the customer is obliged to present the relevant document for the application of the discount or in the event that it is not clear from the submitted document that it is a person entitled to the discount also a combination of documents (e g certificate of school attendance together with an identity card and so on) A discounted ticket will not be sold without the relevant identification and proof of entitlement to the discount The submission of relevant documents for the application of the discount is voluntary and includes the consent of the person concerned with the submission of such a document it serves exclusively to prove the entitlement to apply the discount
3 A relevant document means the original of these documents
student or school ID
student record book
discounted prepaid travel ticket (so called tram pass)
certificate of school attendance
Euro card or Euro disabled person ID or ZŤPS card
4 To apply a discount for retirees from 62 years of age it is necessary to present a document proving the age or status of the specific person to whom the discounted ticket is to be issued and who is applying for the discount with a photograph of the person in question e g a valid identity card or discounted prepaid travel ticket (so called tram pass) For other retirees (recipients of early old age pension) it is necessary to present a decision of the Social Insurance Agency on the granting of an old age pension or a discounted prepaid travel ticket (so called tram pass)
5 Before purchasing a discounted ticket online the customer is obliged to declare entitlement to the discount
6 Customers and visitors who possess a discounted ticket are obliged to present the relevant document according to this point of the GTC at the entrance to the hall during ticket control A discounted ticket will not be accepted without relevant identification and proof of entitlement to the discount
7 Discounts cannot be accumulated combined or joined with each other nor with other discounts nor applied to performances with a reduced entrance fee unless established otherwise
VI Cancellation change of performance exchange of tickets
1 In the event of a change in the program the customer has the option to visit a replacement program If the customer accepts the change of program the purchased tickets are valid for the replacement performance If the customer visits the replacement performance they lose the right to a refund of the entrance fee as well as to compensation for any price difference between the original and replacement performance
2 If the customer does not agree with the replacement program and does not use the option to visit the replacement program they have the right to return unused tickets whereby the price paid for the relevant ticket will be refunded to them in the full amount in which the tickets were purchased
3 A request for a refund of the entrance fee in the event of cancellation or change of a performance can be made in writing by e mail to the address vstupenka@sng gallery stating the account number and bank code (IBAN SWIFT BIC) whereby scanned unmarked tickets or PDF HomePrint tickets for refund must be attached to the request A request for a refund of the entrance fee according to the previous conditions must be submitted no later than 2 years from the originally planned date of the program otherwise the right to a refund of the entrance fee expires in the sense of the relevant legal regulations
4 SNG informs about the cancellation and change of the program through its website www sng sk and an announcement at SNG ticket offices The Slovak National Gallery informs group customers also by telephone or e mail if possible from a temporal or technical point of view and if it has contact details available
5 In the event of a change or cancellation of the program for any reason the customer has no right to compensation for other expenses or costs in connection with the performance for which they purchased a ticket especially transport to or from the venue accommodation food and so on
6 Purchased tickets for the program and entry to the gallery cannot be returned or exchanged nor can any other compensation or discount be requested for purchased tickets (except for compensation according to Article VI point 1 3 of the GTC in the case of a performance cancellation)
7 In the event of a ticket loss SNG does not provide a replacement ticket
VII Gift vouchers
1 It is possible to pay for tickets and additional goods at the ticket office through gift vouchers
2 When purchasing online gift vouchers can only be used for the purchase of tickets
3 A gift voucher is a security the forgery of which is punishable according to the relevant law
4 Types of gift vouchers
Gift voucher in the value of 20 €
Gift voucher in the value of 35 €
5 Each gift voucher has a unique identifier
6 When purchasing tickets with a gift voucher no remaining cash is returned
7 If the price of tickets is higher than the value of the voucher the difference must be paid in cash or by card
8 When paying for tickets through gift vouchers it is possible to use multiple vouchers as well as combine individual types of gift vouchers
9 In the event of loss or damage to a gift voucher SNG does not provide a new or replacement voucher
10 It is not possible to return money for a gift voucher nor can it be exchanged for a voucher with a different period of validity
11 A gift voucher can be purchased at SNG ticket offices and online at www sng sk
12 An SNG gift voucher is not subject to VAT
13 Unless otherwise provided in this article of the GTC the conditions set in other articles of these GTC apply appropriately to gift vouchers
VIII Final provisions
1 These General Terms and Conditions come into force and effect on 1 January 2023
2 By purchasing a ticket the customer and by presenting a ticket for the purpose of entering the hall the visitor if different from the customer expresses agreement with these GTC and undertakes to observe them
