Simple ring codes may be found next to works in the exhibition halls and gallery's relaxation areas. Simply enter the code at atlas.sng.sk to learn more about the artistic motif, the work’s creation, and the themes with which its author engages. You can even save artworks to your own collection and share with friends or email to yourself to enjoy later.
Ester also offers two short, guided trails through the exhibition Prologue. 12 Colours of Reality. She introduces the themes of the installations, presents the exhibition halls, and explains the significance of works within the SNG collections and why they are exhibited together. In the Backstage trail, the background to the installations is revealed in short videos by individuals involved in their creation. In the Apocalypse trail, works are wittily interpreted by András Cséfalvay, one of the exhibiting artists. Either access the guided trails at the exhibition or view them at home to refresh your experience of visiting the gallery.
The app was created by colleagues from lab.SNG and the SNG Education Department as part of the Making Meaning of Digital Collections project, an initiative that explores how digital technologies can enhance the gallery visit experience, and applies the principles of digital storytelling in working with online collections.
