Parking and access
No public car park or parking spaces are available.
Suggestions for paid parking: Hotel Devín on Riečna Street, or the Passenger Port car park on Fajnorovo nábrežie (Fajnor Embankment).
Public transport: stop Nám. Ľ. Štúra (tram 1 or 4 / bus 29, 50 or 70); stop Most SNP (tram 4 / bus 29, 30, 37, 50, 70, 88, 91 or 191)
Pedestrian access: from Hviezdoslavovo Square, Riečna Street, and Rázusovo nábrežie (Rázus Embankment).
Bicycle: bicycle racks can be found at various locations near the gallery.
Accessibility
Dogs and other pets on leashes are allowed only in the courtyard and other outdoor areas of the SNG premises. Entry with a dog into the interior spaces of the gallery is only possible if the dog is placed in a bag or purse that does not exceed the dimensions of 40 x 30 x 10 cm. Entry to the gallery with a guide dog is possible.
The entire area of the gallery is accessible to disabled persons with a wheelchair or other mobility aid, as well as with strollers.
No scooters, skateboards, skates, or folding bicycles (including children's versions) are permitted in interior or exterior areas of the gallery.
For accessibility guidance or assistance, please contact a member of staff with a green badge in the entrance hall.
Wheelchair access to exhibition spaces and other areas of the building is facilitated by lifts in the Water Barracks and the Bridge. The entire ground floor is barrier-free. Accessible toilets are located in the entrance hall and in the hall in front of the cinema. In the future, wheelchairs will be available for hire.
For increased comfort during your visit, you may borrow folding chairs from the entrance hall.

The collection display Sacred Art includes two touch-sound aids for the works Madonna with Angels of Poprad and Ecstasy of St. Teresa. These are primarily intended for the blind and partially sighted, but anyone may use touch to explore relief copies of the works, which are accompanied by audio commentary.
Families with children
Personal belongings can be stored in the unguarded cloakroom on the ground floor, or in lockers that are operated by inserting a returnable €1 coin (the loss of the locker key is subject to a fee of €30). To store larger luggage or baby strollers, contact a staff member with a green badge in the entrance hall.
Toilets are located in various areas of the building; accessible toilets are located in the entrance hall and in the hall in front of the cinema.
Baby changing facilities are available within the following toilets:
in the ladies' toilet beneath the staircase on the ground floor (no stroller access),
in the unisex toilet on the ground floor in the wing of the building opposite the children's studio (no stroller access),
in the unisex toilet on the 3rd floor; a changing table is located in the corridor, and stroller access is possible,
in future, baby changing facilities will be added to the accessible unisex toilets under the staircase on the ground floor; stroller access will be possible.

For your convenience, folding chairs are available for rent from the ticket office.
Personal food and beverages may be consumed in the café, in ground floor areas outside the exhibition spaces, and in the courtyard.
Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for the behaviour and visit of minors in the gallery. Children under the age of 12 may not be left in the exhibition halls without parental or adult supervision. Leaders of larger groups are responsible for the behaviour of those groups.

It is not permitted to enter the exhibition area with luggage or with an item exceeding 40 x 30 x 10 cm in volume or 40 cm in length due to the protection of exhibited works.
Photography
You may take photographs and videos in the gallery for private and amateur purposes only, without flash, tripod or selfie stick, unless a specific prohibition is stated for a particular work or in a particular space. Equipment that could disturb or annoy other visitors are not allowed.
No commercial photography or other audiovisual recording without prior permission: Commercial photography, including photographs or other audiovisual output intended for advertising, promotion or any commercial use, is strictly prohibited without prior consultation with gallery staff.
