Parking and access
No public car park or parking spaces are available.
Suggestions for paid parking: Hotel Devín on Riečna Street, or the Passenger Port car park on Fajnorovo nábrežie (Fajnor Embankment).
Public transport: stop Nám. Ľ. Štúra (tram 1 or 4 / bus 29, 50 or 70); stop Most SNP (tram 4 / bus 29, 30, 37, 50, 70, 88, 91 or 191)
Pedestrian access: from Hviezdoslavovo Square, Riečna Street, and Rázusovo nábrežie (Rázus Embankment).
Bicycle: bicycle racks can be found at various locations near the gallery.
Accessibility
The entire gallery premises are accessible for wheelchairs or other mobility aids for people with disabilities, as well as for baby strollers.
Scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and folding bicycles (including children's versions of these devices) are not permitted in the gallery's interior or exterior spaces.
For barrier-free navigation or assistance, please contact our staff in the entrance hall. For barrier-free access to the exhibition spaces and other parts of the building, you can use the elevators in the Water Barracks (Vodné kasárne) and the Bridge (Premostenie). For added comfort during your visit, folding stools are available for use.
The entire ground floor is barrier-free. Accessible restrooms are located in the entrance hall.
In the Sacred Art exhibition, you will find two touch-and-audio aids for the works Madonna with Angels from Poprad and Ecstasy of St. Teresa, designed primarily for visually impaired and blind visitors.
Families with children
You can store your personal belongings in lockable lockers (a lost locker key incurs a €30 fee) or in the unsupervised cloakroom on the ground floor. For storing larger luggage or a baby stroller, please contact the staff in the entrance hall.
Restrooms are located in various parts of the building; accessible restrooms are located in the entrance hall. Baby changing tables are available in selected marked restrooms: under the staircase on the ground floor, in the ground-floor wing of the building opposite the children's studio, and on the 2nd floor – unisex restroom / the changing table is located in the small hallway.
Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for the behavior and supervision of minors in the gallery. Children under 12 may not be left in the exhibition halls without supervision by a parent or accompanying adult. Group leaders are responsible for the behavior of larger groups.
Lockers and cloakroom
You can store coats, backpacks, smaller luggage, and personal belongings in lockable lockers (a lost locker key incurs a fee of €30) or in the unsupervised cloakroom on the ground floor. For storing larger luggage or a baby stroller, please contact the staff in the entrance hall.
For the protection of the artworks, luggage or other items exceeding dimensions of 40 x 30 x 10 cm or a length of 40 cm are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.
Photography
Prior written consent from Slovak National Gallery staff is required for all commercial photography and filming. The dedicated department handles all such requests for the gallery premises. Please direct your enquiries to info@sng.sk.

Gallery WiFi is accessible throughout the SNG grounds.
