Our Norwegian partner Sørlandets Kunstmuseum developed an AI application that operates with works in the public domain from the SKMU and SNG collections. The application is built on the open-source solution Collection Space Navigator and a model trained on the works. Due to legal restrictions associated with the use of protected works for AI processing, a decision was taken to use only works in the public domain. In July 2023, we participated in an online workshop with representatives from SKMU and Applica, and with Morten Goodwin, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR).
